NOW Foods Berberine Glucose Support with MCT Oil, 90 Softgels
Berberine paired with MCT oil softgels for better oral uptake.
$21.99
$0.24 / softgel
TL;DR
A sensible mid-priced attempt at the absorption problem. Good value per serving, but still three softgels a day through a digestive system that removes most of it.
- MCT oil carrier improves oral bioavailability compared with dry powder capsules.
- 90 softgels at $21.99 is strong value per serving.
- Softgels are noticeably easier to swallow than large capsules.
- Multi-dose daily schedule is the main adherence obstacle.
- 4.5 stars from 5.7K ratings and a long-standing GMP-tested brand.
Good fit if…
- Capsule users wanting better absorption without a premium price
- People who dislike swallowing large dry capsules
- Buyers who value an established, widely stocked brand
- Anyone testing berberine for the first time on a budget
Skip it if…
- People who forget midday doses
- Anyone with existing digestive sensitivity
- Buyers wanting a full metabolic formula rather than glucose support
- Anyone who has already failed on oral berberine

The MCT idea
Berberine is poorly absorbed partly because of how it behaves in an aqueous gut environment. Suspending it in MCT oil is a legitimate, well-understood way to improve uptake of a difficult compound, and it is cheaper to manufacture than a phytosome.
It is a real improvement over plain powder in a shell — it just operates within the same fundamental constraint as every other swallowed dose.
Value and quality
NOW has been manufacturing supplements for decades and runs its own testing laboratories. At $0.24 a softgel this is one of the better value-per-quality propositions in the category.
The 4.5-star average across 5.7K ratings is consistent with a product that does what it says without overpromising.
The adherence problem
Ninety softgels sounds generous until you divide by a two-to-three-per-day schedule and land at roughly a month. More importantly, the midday dose is the one people miss, and inconsistent dosing is the most common reason a supplement produces nothing.
A regimen you complete 60% of the time is not the regimen anyone studied.
What it does not include
This is berberine plus a carrier. There is no chromium, cinnamon, L-glutamine or B-complex doing the surrounding metabolic work. If you want those, you are buying and timing additional products.
Who should buy it
A good choice if you want to test oral berberine properly without spending Thorne money, and you are realistic about hitting a multi-dose schedule.
If daily consistency is your weak point, a once-daily format will beat a better formula you keep forgetting.

Still our #1 pick overall
